KMS Grouper was formed in 1998 and is wholly owned by PT Kedamaian
Makmur Sejahtera.
PT Kedamaian Makmur Sejahtera is one of the top producers of farmed
grouper in Indonesia, harvesting about 200,000 grouper juveniles
per month and about 400,000 mature grouper per year with a variety
of species. We produce juvenile grouper and mature grouper for local
markets in Indonesia as well as for export to Hong Kong.

The company owns and runs a research breeding facility in Tarahan,
Lampung and net cages in the Condong Islands in the Indonesian province
of Lampung, which is located at the southern tip of the island of

Our aquaculture business includes research and development, grouper rearing,
sea farming, and harvesting. In order to guarantee quality and reliability
of the grouper, the KMS management is directly involved in controlling
every single stage of production with demonstrated traceability.

We were honored to have the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries,
Mr. Freddi Numberi, and the Governor of Lampung province, Mr. Sjachroedin
ZP, visit the KMS Grouper Fish Farm and Hatchery on June 23, 2006. |
Certificate of Merit
The Directorate General of Fisheries of the Department
of Maritime and Fisheries issued a certificate to KMS Grouper in
2003 to express the government's appreciation for their business
excellence in raising Kerapu Macan (Epinephelus Fuscoguttatus) and
Kerapu Bebek (Cromileptes Altivelis) at the PT Kedamaian Makmur
Sejahtera codfish hatchery in Lampung.
